Deforestation
Deforestation has become a serious global threat as thousands of trees are cut down every day for urban expansion, fuel, and commercial use. In Pakistan, forest cover has dropped to less than 5%, which is one of the lowest in Asia. This loss of greenery leads to rising temperatures, soil erosion, floods, and the disappearance of wildlife.
Areas that were once rich in forests are now turning into dry and barren land. Without trees, the air becomes polluted, rainfall decreases, and the environment loses its natural balance. Deforestation is not just the cutting of trees, it is the slow destruction of future generations.
