Drug Addiction

 Drug Addiction

Drug addiction is rapidly spreading around the world and has turned into a serious social challenge. According to the United Nations, over 296 million people used drugs in 2023, which shows a sharp global rise. It slowly damages both the mind and body, resulting in loss of self-control, poor judgment, and emotional instability. Over time, the addict becomes disconnected from education, family responsibilities, and career goals, which often leads to unemployment, loneliness, and criminal behavior.

In many cases, addiction begins through curiosity, social influence, or stress, without realizing the long-term harm it can cause. Around 39 million people globally suffer from severe drug disorders and require treatment, yet most do not receive any help. As the situation worsens, the individual becomes trapped in a cycle that is extremely difficult to escape, putting not only their own future at risk but also the safety of society.
