Pakistan is facing a major inflation crisis. According to the latest report, the annual inflation rate in Pakistan has risen to 29.5 percent in June 2023.
Additionally, the core inflation rate which excludes volatile items went up by 18.5 percent in June from 20 percent. Due to inflation, there are so many causes such as production cost, shortage of goods and services, currency development, and property price growth in resentment, for many years Pakistan's economy has struggled with inflation due to different factors.
To add more, in Pakistan, people are being compelled to migrate from one country to another. So, inflation requires sustained efforts from the government including implementing measures to control inflation, improving the supply of goods and services, and stabilizing the currency.
