Poor road conditions in Balochistan
Poor road conditions in Balochistan continue to limit the province’s social and economic progress. Many major routes, especially in remote districts, are broken, narrow, and full of potholes, increasing travel time and the risk of accidents. In several areas, roads remain unpaved, making them nearly unusable during rain or floods. Transporters often report higher vehicle repair costs due to damaged surfaces, while communities struggle to access markets, schools, and hospitals on time.
Although some development projects have been announced, slow execution and limited maintenance keep most routes in poor shape. Thus, the government should take prompt action on this serious issue.
