Honor killing is a cultural issue found in some parts of Pakistan, including Balochistan. It occurs when a family member is harmed due to actions believed to affect the family’s reputation, such as choosing a life partner or behaving outside traditional customs. These acts are carried out without legal process and often remain unreported. The practice affects the safety and rights of individuals, especially women. To reduce such incidents, there is a need for stronger legal steps, better education, and positive community awareness that supports dignity, choice, and peaceful solutions.
