Dr. Moumita Debnath was a second year postgraduate trainee doctor on duty at 'Khar medical college' in Kolkata West Bengal, India. On 9th August 2024 she was found murdered and brutally raped in the hospital. Her parents were called and told that their daughter had committed suicide. The autopsy report proved that she had been raped and murdered; furthermore, she was sexually assaulted before being killed; however, the report also noted deep wounds in her private parts along with her broken leg, wounded lips, peeled fingernails, and blood flowing eyes. According to the report, she was bleeding from the eyes because she was attached so forcefully to the wall that her sunglasses broke and injured eyes.
Moreover, the case was given to the 'CBI' (Central Beauro of Investigation) on 13th August 2024. We do say that we are safe and free but such ancidents remind us of our value in a state. The work of the doctor is to save lives but if they are unsafe then how can a common girl be safe? Now in India so many doctors have started protesting against this worse than wild act but they see no hope of justice. It is unbearable that the Indian police are doing since the criminals are freely wondering with no fear. Females deserve justice, so please let them live their lives peacefully.
