After being told by his poor dad who was a teacher and made a good living but always struggled to make ends meet to simply go make money. He and his father Mike just collected empty toothpaste tubes which at that time were made of lead. They melted them down and used plaster molds to make counterfeit nickels. They were soon set straight by Robert's dad who told them should talk to Mike's dad that who never finished eighth grade but ran multiple successful businesses. Mike's dad the rich dad of the book title agreed to teach them but on his terms, he had them work for three hours every Saturday morning at one of his convenience stores during the food packing and cleaning. He paid them 10 cents an hour which Robert usually spent the cents on comic books. Fairy quickly Robert grew disenchanted with the boring work and low pay.
Robert wanted to meet Mike's father but his father was to much busy when he took out some time to meet Robert but he said to Robert that he would not teach you like you read at school then he said particularly how to be rich. So every day for one hour Robert came at his office and factory then one day Robert became angry that Mike's dad was making me work instead of teaching so then Mike's dad said you should understand that how you were working and making money. Robert thought and said I worked for making money but rich people don't work for making money but money works for them.
