The employment situation in Balochistan is dire, with a lack of opportunities for meaningful work. Many people are suffering from hunger due to the scarcity of employment opportunities. For instance, the closure of the Iranian border has left many Baloch people without a source of income. Thousands are struggling to make ends meet. Furthermore, the Pakistani government has not been proactive in creating job opportunities for the Baloch people. We, as Baloch individuals, are not solely dependent on jobs provided by Pakistan; we have the capability to create work opportunities for ourselves. Balochistan is rich in natural resources, yet many Baloch people remain unemployed. These resources are exploited by Pakistan for the benefit of other regions, such as Lahore and Punjab, while Balochistan remains underdeveloped.
The oppressive presence of the Pakistani army has contributed to the region's poverty and lack of development. I earnestly request the Government of Pakistan to open the border and take measures to address the employment crisis in Balochistan.
