Merit violation in Makran Medical College Turbat



   Violation of merit is one of the main neglected and  as well a common practices in government and private sectors ailing life in Balochistan. The appointment criteria are based on nepotism, favoritism, bribes, and other personal wishes. The beneficiaries get employment, promotions, and other benefits without merit and due process which is inequitable, illegal and unconstitutional, as a result, they are exploiting the fundamental rights of the deserving people. Recently, some posts from MAKRAN MEDICAL COLLEGE TURBAT, starting from BPS-1 to BPS 14 were allegedly sold out in different districts of Balochistan against amazing sums of money due to which deserving candidates lost out. In fact, the health department is such a department where 90 percent of posts are sold. 

   However, the health minister of District Kech has done favoritism and nepotism sold many posts, and Violated the merit injustice. Generally, this form of corruption penetrates in our society at all levels which gives a negative impact on individuals, society, and the nation. It is absolutely unfair, unjust, and detrimental for all. Not only this but also, the merit system has been badly affected by the tribal and political elite. Jobs are provided in violation of merit, depriving deserving people of such opportunities. This dominating behavior is used to make people more and more dependent on the elite, as those employed in this way are often obligated to repay the favors by crossing legal boundaries.

   Accordingly, violation of merit ruins the socioeconomic life of deserving people despite their qualifications and eligibility as they are struggling hard for a better future and to come out from economic hardships. As we know in various government institutions, hundreds of employees are incapable and fake degree holders but are getting salaries including all benefits for many years which is definitely a severe violation of merit.

   In other words, these beneficiaries use various tricks and tactics like bribe, flattering, misleading, and false representation, it is used as a tool to get maximum benefits over others despite one’s eligibility. This attitude could be seen in public and private offices. Obviously, these corrupt practices are one of the major reasons that are not only spoiling the lives of deserving persons but also devastating the nation. Additionally, they deceive, cheat, manipulate the truth, and make false representations in order to provide superior management with full details about every employee. Actually, they work in the company for their personal gain. Administrators, personal secretaries, assistants, cashiers, and peons are among the people who receive extra benefits from directors in addition to the company's regular salary as a kind of compensation or incentive; under normal circumstances, they would not receive these benefits. As a result, these recipients are abusing the other workers

   In the larger interest of the masses, everyone should play their role to discourage nepotism and favoritism and make vigorous efforts to follow merit rules with a true spirit for the prosperity, development, and success of the country and the masses as well.

   We request that the Commissioner of Makran quickly a serious action against this issue and provide Jobs to them.
