Malnutrition

Malnutrition refers to deficiencies or excesses in nutrient intake, imbalance of essential nutrients, or impaired nutrient utilization. Malnutrition is a prevalent issue around the globe in addition, Most commonly this is caused by not eating enough (undernutrition) or not eating enough of the right food to give your body the nutrients it needs.

Research is concerned that malnutrition is caused by not getting the right food as it is mentioned above furthermore, world hunger is on the rise, affecting nearly 10% of people globally. From 2019 to 2022, the number of undernourished people grew by as many as 150 million, this rate is very high and increasing rapidly.

It is occurring as a result of a lack of nutrients, either as a result of a poor diet or problems absorbing nutrients from food on the other hand, the effect of this includes an impaired immune system, reduce respiratory muscle function, and loss of body tissues.

In a survey, it is found that the Global Hunger Index 2022, which was adopted by the International Food Policy Research Institute, Yemen was the most affected by hunger and malnutrition, with an index of 45.1, and some other countries including the Central African Republic, Chad, Niger, Afghanistan, Liberia, and some other countries. Some ways to prevent this, eat a healthy balanced diet, and always eat starchy vegetables for instance potatoes, bread, and rice.

I highly appeal to health organizations to solve this in no time.
