Child labor in Pakistan

Child labor means that children are engaged in work that may be harmful to their health and affect the education system. According to the ILO (international labor organization), over 160 million children are involved in child labor. According to some other reports 12.5 million children are involved in child labor, in 2014 and 2015 between 10 to 14-years-old of children were working among them 61 percent were boys and 88 percent were from ruler areas.

Furthermore in Pakistan, 38.8 percent of people are poor; it is difficult to find jobs in Pakistan. So that they are compelled to send their innocent children to the market. According to some reports, 15,000 children in Balochistan are at garbage collection, garages, markets, cool mines, automobile workshops, carpenter shops, and many more. Really how wrong it would be to say that the children are engaged in child labor their future will be destroyed because instead of reading they are working. In this age on their hand instead of books and pens, they are having working tools. Due to covid_19 lockdown, Pakistan's economic progress has been badly affected. Also, many companies and factories have to suffer heavy losses which result from unemployment.

Thus, children are compelled to join labor armies. It is my request to the government to stop child labor and educate them.
