Rising HIV/AIDS cases

It is heartbreaking to mention that Pakistan is the only country where HIV/AIDS cases are increasing at an alarming rate these days. The number of infection and disease cases have been increased by 84% in the country as compared years (2010-2020) but no authority is taken any serious action against this critical issue yet.

However, according to the data shared during the event, Karachi became the highest number of people living with HIV and AIDS.

Nevertheless, it is unfortunate that in our country attitudes toward healthcare providers, people who are responsible for protecting us from ill health became one of the reasons for the prevalence of the disease. Then surely, they appear to be a major factor in driving up the number of HIV/AIDS cases in the country. Meanwhile, the spread of the disease is the widespread use of contaminated medical equipment by healthcare providers because of their irresponsibility.

Finally, the concerned authority is requested to bring the back issue to the forefront immediately and exterminate it from its root.
